A Project Engineer is a professional who is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.. The Project Engineer is in charge of ensuring their teams complete all projects on time and within budget. They prevent scope creep while also managing individual tasks for their respective teams with keen attention to detail to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
At ZICS, We are looking for an accountable Project Engineer to be responsible for all metal fabrication and furniture works . The Project Engineer will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. The Project Engineer will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.
The Project Engineer is therefore required to lead a team of welders, carpenters and sales team to meet goals. He guides and mentors other team member.
At ZICS we are actively looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and facilitate the design and manufacturing of our next line of exciting products which include automated wooden, metal works and smart furniture designs.
Project Engineer job will include:
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field
Responsibilities

- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support

- Deliver product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team for production purposes.
- Develop quality control criteria and safety guidelines and ensuring that all team members adhere to them.
Must Have
- Proven work experience as a Project Engineer or similar Engineering role
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Project management and supervision skills
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Electrical Electronics Engineering or similar field is preferred
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a project Engineer
- A Master's degree in Engineering may be advantageous.
- Excellent math, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
