We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Furniture Carpenter to join our team. As a Professional Furniture Carpenter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality furniture pieces and ensuring precise dimensions and finishes are met. Your expertise in carpentry will be essential in producing exquisite wooden doors, beds, dining tables, kitchen cabinets, custom-built cabinetry, sofa sets, and other furniture designs.
Responsibilities
-Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finish specifications.
- Craft a wide range of furniture designs, including bespoke and multifunctional pieces, using various woodworking machines and tools.
- Prioritize health and safety measures and maintain a clean and organized carpentry workshop.
- Assemble wooden articles, such as cabinets and frames, ensuring precision and quality.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, design and technical teams, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to company-defined quality standards and meet or exceed customer expectations during furniture installations.
- Lift and move furniture items and equipment as required.
Must Have
-Critical, innovative and creative thinking
- Proven work experience of 5 years or more as a Professional Furniture Carpenter in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
- Excellent carpentry and joinery craftsmanship skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-oriented with a positive and cordial attitude.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NABTEB, Trade Test, or Diploma in Woodworks is preferred.
