Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager at ZICS located on Akala Express, Ibadan.  The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and increasing brand awareness for ZICS. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and executing effective sales and marketing strategies to position ZICS as a leader in the security doors, gates, and custom furniture industry.

Jobs To Be Done (JTBD)

1. Market Expansion & Business Growth
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for ZICS.
  • Build partnerships with distributors, resellers, and B2B customers to drive bulk sales.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
2. Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that ensures revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify key decision-makers in target industries and build strong relationships with them.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline and track progress using CRM tools.
3. Brand Awareness & Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns (digital, offline, and direct marketing) to increase brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with designers to create marketing materials (brochures, catalogs, website content, social media ads).
  • Plan and execute advertising, promotions, and PR campaigns for ZICS products.
  • Engage in social media marketing to attract potential customers and showcase projects.
  • Work with influencers, architects, and real estate professionals to boost brand credibility.
4. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Understand customer pain points and provide tailored product solutions.
  • Ensure excellent post-sales support and handle customer feedback effectively.
  • Develop and manage a customer loyalty/referral program.
5. Pricing & Negotiation
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies for different market segments.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure profitability on all deals.
6. Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Track and analyze sales performance using KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost).
  • Provide regular sales reports and market insights to the management team.
  • Adjust sales and marketing strategies based on data and feedback.

Must Have

  • Proven track record in business development and sales (preferably in manufacturing, construction, or real estate industries).
  • Experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management
  • Networking and relationship management abilities.
